Stephen Gately - Boyzone

Stephen Gately was born in Ireland in March 1976 and joined Boyzone in 1993 after answering an advert in Dublin to audition for Ireland's first boyband.
He and Ronan Keating shared lead vocals and band had huge success with six singles reaching reaching number one, including "Stay" in 2001.
The band decided in 2000 to move on to solo projects. Gately was the first with his debut solo single titled New Beginning and later a debut solo album of the same name.
He went on to appear in various stage productions including starring in Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
Gately hit the head lines in June 1999 when he admitted he was gay in our sister paper the Sun disappointing hundreds of his girl fans. His manager Louis Walsh was unaware of Gately's sexuality when he selected him for the band and has said that, had he known, he would have thought twice before picking him, citing that "it wasn't cool then to have a gay guy in a band.
(As for my own opinion, I don't think being gay is not cool, in fact, it is cool. I admire your courage for standing out for your own sexuality. Even though people do not accept you, it is who you really are and that is what makes you Stephen Gately.)
Gately wed Andrew Cowles, first in a commitment ceremony in Las Vegas in 2003 and more formally in a civil partnership ceremony in London in 2006.

Boyzone got back together in 2008 and Gately was enjoying the second coming when he tragically died last night in Majorca. This year in had made his film debut in the horror movie Credo.
Last week he attended the Pride of Britain Awards and the band were intending on bringing out a new album in 2010.

Philosophy of the Day
Love through their hearts but not through simple words,
Love their inner beauty not just physically,
Love them because you care for them,
Love them because they love you.

Moments of My Life
Here are some pictures of my college lives.

The last six months of holidays before deciding to venture down to KL for Actuarial Science in UTAR, Setapak.

One of my common holiday locations, Genting Highlands. To be honest, I've been there for more than 10 times ever since I was little.

Presently, the second semester in UTAR has ended. Come to think of it, I have been here in KL for at least 9 months now. I'll be coming back for short semester, which is 7 weeks long. Time definitely flies. Don't you guys out there agree ?

Well, it's brief but that is basically my for the past one year. I'll dig out some pictures and write more about it.
Random
Nothing much about this little guy. His name is Papi a.k.a. Baby. It's just a translation from Hokkien. I haven't seen him for 4 months now. Wonder how is he doing, behaving or mischievous as usual. Above are just a few random pictures of him showing off.

Second Chance
When you realize that your life is a failure, you blame everyone, especially those around you. Those people close to you. However, you never take a good look at yourself. It is you who made that particular decision because you were once given a chance to choose and you have chosen. The path might not be as good as the other one but it does not mean that your life would be better by taking that road.
Will you re-live your life if you were given a chance? I believe the answer is yes. But you will soon realize that your present life is too precious to give away because every moment counts. Their impacts are such tremendous in a way you can never imagine. Your memories are your treasures. So, always keep them close to you. These memories of yours, your childhood, your birthdays, your parents, your love life - they do not come often and some, you can only experience it once in your lifetime.
For those parents out there, I believe this is part your experience, and nothing can be more precious than seeing your own flesh being born into this world.
"The first moment when you hold your baby, and you didn't know anything can be so small so delicate and you feel the tiny heartbeat, and you know that you couldn't love anything more than the whole world. And hope that you can do right and always be there to catch her/him when she/he falls and nothing ever hurts her/him - broken arms, bad dreams, broken heart. "
